Why Study here?
There are several good reasons why you should consider studying at IPMI Business School:
Excellent Faculty
IPMI's faculty is a blend of local and foreign lecturers. Our faculty members hold PhD’s and Master Degrees from reputable U.S, European, Australian and Indonesian institutions. They are experienced professionals who have both academic and current practical experience. We also host distinguished guest speakers and visiting professors, who are continually invited to share their knowledge and experience with IPMI students.
Harvard Business Case-Study
IPMI’s curriculum is continually updated to meet standards in concepts and practices in the rapidly changing business world. Like Harvard Business School, IPMI is primarily a case study business school. It relies on case studies from Harvard, INSEAD, as well as internal case studies, as the method of learning. The usage of cases or the ratio between cases and conceptual framework varies depending on the course program.
For the Master of Management (MM) program, the complexities of real-world decision making and problem solving are best captured in the classroom through case studies, rather than lectures only. Class discussions based on real-life situations encourage students to look at problems analytically and from different perspectives, helping students to develop their problem-solving and decision making skills.
Students will also develop skills and abilities needed to understand business dynamics, enabling them to confidently manage the companies they lead.
Excellent Curriculum
Our international and practitioner-orientated curriculum has enabled our students to pursue an international business management career upon graduation. An integrated part of the curriculum is the Group Field Project (GFP) or research Project (RP). Through the GFP, students have the opportunity to implement what they have learned in class, to real business problems. Under the supervision of the faculty, students are assigned to work as teams of consultants to companies which are having management issues.
Learning in study groups is also part of the curriculum. Ideas and experiences are exchanged and discussed during class. Students learn to structure their arguments, to express themselves with clarity and to be flexible towards the opinions and attitudes of others. This is valuable preparation for coping with situations likely to arise in their future careers.
All IPMI classes are delivered in English, the universal business language. English education provides students with the skills and confidence needed to operate in an international business environment. It also gives students the opportunity to study abroad.
